LAS VEGASFrank Keres, President, Construction Risk Associates, Inc., was honored with the IRMI Words of Wisdom Award here during the 28th IRMI Construction Risk Conference. The Words of Wisdom, or “WOW,” Award recognizes a speaker who has made an outstanding contribution to the construction and insurance industries by unselfishly sharing his or her risk and insurance expertise with exceptional delivery skills at the annual Conference hosted by International Risk Management Institute, Inc., (IRMI).

The award was presented to Mr. Keres before an audience of almost 1,500. IRMI President Jack Gibson explained why Mr. Keres was chosen to receive the prestigious award. “Frank has a down-to-earth presentation style to which our audiences can really relate, and he shares practical in-the-trenches knowledge with them. As a result, he has either been the highest rated speaker or in the top three at each of the five Conferences where he has presented. Considering that these Conferences featured over 60 speakers, this is an impressive track record, and he certainly deserved the award,” Mr. Gibson said. Mr. Keres is the nineteenth winner of the WOW Award. Previous recipients include Mark Spansel, Adams & Reese; John Alberici, Alberici Group; Tim Carter, CB Richard Ellis; Jim Costner, Willis; Steve Davis, McGriff Seibels & Williams; Diana Eichfeld, ACE USA; Bill Ernstrom, The Walsh Group; Jack Gibson, IRMI; Jerry Katz, Katz & Stone, L.L.P.; Dan Knise, Ames and Gough; Steve LaShier, University of California, Riverside; Mike Loulakis, Capital Project Strategies, LLC; Jeff Masters, Cox Castle & Nicholson LLP; Tom McCarley, J. Smith Lanier; Mike O’Neill, American Contractors Insurance Group; Bill Perkins, Florida Association of Insurance Agents; Jeff Segall, CNA; and Rick Shamis, Aon Risk Services.

The IRMI Construction Risk Conference is the only national symposium devoted exclusively to insuring, bonding, and managing the risks of construction projects. The 29th IRMI Construction Risk Conference will be held November 2-5, 2009, in Washington, D.C.
