Your IRMI Plus Membership includes all of the benefits of free membership and also gives you access to exclusive additional resources. 

  • IRMI Insurance Coverage Essentials—Covers more than 30 policy types, including property, liability, auto, workers compensation, professional and executive liability, and personal lines, and provides you with concise, easy-to-digest analyses of key policy attributes like coverage grants, exclusions, defined terms, and conditions. Your individual subscription (a $199 annual value) is included with your  IRMI Plus Membership.

Follow these steps to upgrade your free membership to an IRMI Plus membership.

NOTE: Please use the same email address associated with your free membership to avoid creating a duplicate account. 

During the IRMI IQ beta period, queries are limited to 20 per user per day. Your quota will reset automatically each day at midnight. 

Yes, your membership (free or Plus) is separate from any subscription you have to access paid IRMI content, whether you have:

  • An individual subscription
  • A subscription to IRMI Online purchased by your employer
  • A subscription to IRMI paid content on another platform (e.g., Vertafore ReferenceConnect or Zywave)

As long as you use the email address already associated with your IRMI Online account when you activate or purchase a membership, you can use your existing username and password to log in to IRMI Online and access both your subscription content and member content. 

If you signed up for membership using a different email address, you can contact IRMI Customer Success for assistance with merging your accounts. 

If you have an IRMI Plus membership, you do not need to activate a separate free membership. 

If you do not have a Plus membership, you must activate a free IRMI Membership to access free content that is exclusively for members, including: 

  • IRMI webinars and webinar recordings 
  • Newsletters 
  • White papers 

Free Expert Commentary articles and the Glossary remain available to non-members.

If you are not yet a member, when you log in to IRMI Online, you will be asked to activate your free membership. You will access your IRMI Online subscription content the same way you did before. Free member content will be available to you under "My Membership" in the left-hand navigation.

Yes, if you want to access IRMI webinars, newsletters, and other member content, you will need to activate a free IRMI Membership.

If you want to power up to an IRMI Plus Membership, you can upgrade and unlock IRMI Insurance Coverage Essentials and the IRMI IQTM chatbot.

You will continue to access your subscription IRMI content the same way you have before (i.e., on the Vertafore ReferenceConnect or Zywave website).

To opt out of a free IRMI Membership, please contact the IRMI Customer Success team online or by phone at (800) 827–4242. Once opted out, you will no longer receive communications about your free member benefits.

No, your free IRMI Membership does not have an expiration date. Your membership belongs to you and will remain active even if you change employers.

An IRMI Plus Membership includes a subscription to IRMI Insurance Coverage Essentials at no additional cost.

A free IRMI Membership does not include a subscription to IRMI supscription content. However, free members will have periodic complimentary access to select IRMI Online subscription content for a limited time. You will be notified via your member newsletter, IRMI Update. If you want to maintain your access to premium content beyond the complimentary period, you will need to purchase a subscription.

While we have always strived to treat our subscribers, conference attendees, and certification holders like members, we’ve never had a formal membership program before.

IRMI collects additional information about our members to:

  • Better understand your interests
  • Deliver more relevant content
  • Improve future membership features and offerings
