Tyler Maconaghy

Mr. Maconaghy has over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry since graduating with a bachelor's degree from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, where he studied risk management and insurance. After graduation, Mr. Maconaghy began his journey into the excess and surplus lines world, with a main focus on commercial property. In recent years, Mr. Maconaghy shifted his focus into the captive insurance landscape, delving into primary and excess liability programs for large construction and transportation companies.

At Hartwell, Mr. Maconaghy is joining his past experiences together to provide property and liability captive insurance to retail and wholesale brokers and their clientele. Hartwell Insurance Company was founded on January 13, 2016, under the captive insurance legislation in the State of Tennessee, to provide innovative solutions to insurance problems using the tools available as a protected cell captive insurance company. Hartwell has been assigned a Financial Stability Rating^® of "A Exceptional" by the credit rating agency Demotech, Inc.

In his free time, Mr. Maconaghy enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their dog, as well as playing guitar and writing music. He also trains for and participates in marathons and triathlons.
