Steven T. Bird, CPCU
Director, Risk Management
Mr. Bird is the director of risk management for Zachry
Group in San Antonio, Texas. He also serves as the editor for IRMI's Risk
Financing. Prior to his work at Zachry Group, he held a number of risk
management consulting positions. Mr. Bird has developed insurance and risk
financing programs for organizations in a wide variety of industries including
manufacturing, construction, health care, real estate, banking, utilities, and
the public sector. He holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from
Purdue University, a master of business administration degree from the
University of Georgia, and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
professional designation.
