Mr. Reich serves as chief underwriting officer at Insight Risk Technologies in New York. Since joining the company in 2021, he has successfully managed a nationwide builders risk portfolio with a specific focus on the reduction of water damage claims through technology and insurance policy by creating innovative new insurance products that address unique risks in the construction industry. Particularly notable is his work on the front line of Internet of Things technology integration, analyzing and addressing its effects on risk management from both insured and insurer perspectives, positioning the industry for the next generation of connected construction sites and smart building technologies.

Prior to Insight Risk Technologies, Mr. Reich spent over 6 years at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he held nationwide responsibility for large contractors all risk/erection all risk construction projects with significant catastrophe exposures. Before that, he led the Northeast region of the construction property group at Hiscox, Inc., where he spent over 8 years underwriting large commercial risk projects nationwide and developing expertise in professional liability insurance for design professionals.

With over 19 years of experience in the specialty insurance industry, Mr. Reich has earned the following professional designations: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), LEED Green Associate, Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI), and Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), and the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS®) certification. He is the former chair of the Inland Marine Underwriting Association's Construction Committee, where he has served since 2011, focusing on the education of the insurance industry through research and presentations on construction-related topics.
