Marianne Bonner, CPCU, ARM, CRIS

Marianne Bonner has worked in the property and casualty insurance industry for over 3 decades. She began her career as a commercial underwriter. After 13 years in underwriting, she moved to a large retail brokerage. At the brokerage, she wrote insurance articles, performed coverage analysis, and served as a subject matter expert on commercial insurance coverages. Ms. Bonner currently works as a consultant and is the business insurance expert for The Balance Small Business, a financial website. She has earned many insurance designations, including the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Underwriting (AU), and the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) certification. She holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Delaware and a master of business administration from Oklahoma City University.
