Alliant Transportation

Lisa Paul, CPCU

Executive Vice President

As executive vice president, Alliant Transportation, Lisa Paul leads the company's nationwide specialty vertical, addressing risk impacting all segments of the transportation industry. With over 3 decades of experience in transportation insurance and risk management, she develops direct retail and specialty programs for the transportation industry, structuring insurance placements and programs that advance companies' growth strategies and reduce total cost of risk per mile.

Prior to joining Alliant in May 2025, Lisa served as executive vice president of HUB International, where she optimized and managed the company's software as a service (SaaS) platform to smoothly facilitate comprehensive, competitive risk solutions for transportation clients in the United States and Canada. She honed her expertise in integrating technology—including telematics and driver behavior solutions—into clients' growth strategies to better predict risk outcomes, maximize margin objectives, and improve public safety across all industries, both directly with clients and through overseeing managing general agent (MGA) insurance products and programs.

Lisa's extensive experience in transportation insurance and risk management includes serving as CEO of an MGA, where she grew retail transportation teams exponentially and served the insurance needs of clients across all sectors of transportation, including long haul, middle mile, last mile, marine, warehousing, and moving and storage. She is experienced in underwriting property, warehouse legal liability, domestic and international transportation surety, auto liability, general liability, cargo, excess towers, contingent liability, and workers compensation coverages.

Lisa also has developed contract review artificial intelligence tools between shippers, freight brokers, and contract carriers, and handled SaaS management for transportation companies, including onboarding, compliance, and embedded insurance products for transportation companies and their owner-operators, contract carriers, and agents.

Lisa holds a property and casualty license in Tennessee and has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
