Ms. Hickman is vice president, a member of the Executive team, manager of the Content Services team, and comanager of the Editorial team. She continues to serve as the editor of Construction Risk Management, curriculum director for the IRMI Construction Risk Conference, and editor of the IRMI Construction Risk Manager electronic newsletter. She coauthored the original release of IRMI Workers Comp, wrote multiple Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS®) courses, and contributes articles to The Risk Report. She also served as the editor and a contributing author for Design-Build Risk and Insurance.

Ms. Hickman received her master of arts in risk management and insurance from the University of Georgia and her bachelor of business administration in finance and insurance from Eastern Kentucky University. She has the CRIS certification and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations.

Ms. Hickman joined IRMI in 1994. Prior to that, she was on the faculty of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and the University of Georgia in Athens, where she taught a variety of risk management and insurance courses.
