IRMI Shines a Spotlight on Kids' Chance

Dallas, TX, November 18, 2024International Risk Management Institute (IRMI) is joining forces with Kids' Chance, a national nonprofit whose purpose is to provide support and educational scholarships to children of workers killed or severely injured on the job, to build awareness of the organization and its mission among risk and insurance professionals. The partnership was announced at the IRMI Construction Risk Conference (CRC) in October.

"The construction industry has one of the highest fatality rates in the United States, so it seemed fitting to launch our new initiative by sharing it with the 1,700 construction risk and insurance professionals attending IRMI CRC," shared Ann Hickman, IRMI vice president. "IRMI has long focused on providing risk management resources for industries that have high rates of workers comp[ensation] claims—agriculture, construction, energy, manufacturing, and transportation. We are calling on our customers in those industries—and the insurance professionals who serve them—to get information about Kids' Chance to impacted families and help fill the scholarship pipeline." To refer a kid for scholarship consideration, visit  https://pff.kidschance.org and complete the online referral form.

"Whether it is a scholarship for trade school or college, the Kids' Chance mission is to ensure that all kids who are impacted by workers compensation tragedies still have a chance for a bright future," said Jennifer Wolf, Kids' Chance board president.

IRMI will continue to promote Kids' Chance at all our conferences and encourage our customers to spread the word within their networks. By harnessing the IRMI platform, we hope to build ongoing awareness of the critical work done by Kids' Chance.
