The health and safety of our Conference attendees are always
our top priority. We are continuously monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and
carefully evaluating the situation. We will keep this page up to date with the
current status of our 2020 IRMI Emmett J Vaughan Agribusiness Conferences
(AgriCon). If you have already registered, we will also contact you via email
to advise you of any developments.
AgriCon Richmond | COVID-19 Update as of March
25
Given that your health and well-being, along with
that of our colleagues, are our top priority, we have decided that we will not
hold the IRMI Emmett J Vaughan Agribusiness Conference (AgriCon) in Richmond,
Virginia.
We understand that many of you planned to fulfill your Agribusiness and Farm
Insurance Specialist (AFIS®) continuing education requirement by
attending the Conference. We remain optimistic that we will be able to go
forward with AgriCon Des Moines in September, and
invite you to join us there. If that is not a viable option for you, we are
also developing a "virtual Conference" that will allow you to
participate remotely. Watch this page for updates.
If you already registered for the Conference, you will receive an email from
our Conference Management team with details on how to apply your registration
to a future event or request a refund.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this
unprecedented situation together. If you have additional questions or concerns,
please
contact us.
AgriCon Sacramento | COVID-19 Update as of March
6
Based on what the medical experts are saying and the
recommendation from the Hyatt, we have decided to go forward with the
Conference, and we hope you will attend.
We are receiving inquiries as to whether we are going forward with next
week’s Emmett J Vaughan Agribusiness Conference in Sacramento. We are carefully
monitoring the travel and health issues surrounding COVID-19, specifically
California’s status, and have also consulted with the Hyatt Regency Sacramento.
As of now, there have been no travel restriction recommendations by the CDC,
WHO, or local authorities with respect to the Sacramento area.
The Hyatt is instituting very thorough procedures to assure that sanitation
in the hotel is top notch. This includes extra employee training, spraying
disinfectant on surfaces commonly touched by guests, providing sanitation
stations throughout the meeting and public spaces, and much more.
Only you can weigh your personal risk for traveling and attending. Although
our official conference cancellation policy does not provide for a refund at
this time, we are relaxing that policy for those who wish to cancel due to
concerns over traveling or attending because of COVID-19. If you wish to request a cancellation, please do so
using this Cancellation Request Form.
We will be back in touch with you once the Conference concludes to present
options for receiving a registration fee refund or transferring your
registration to another conference.
If you do cancel your Conference registration, you will also need to
separately cancel your reservation at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento, (916)
443–1234.
Thank you for the trust and confidence you have in IRMI. We hope to see you
in Sacramento, where we have planned a terrific AgriCon for you.
