You can maintain your Agribusiness and Farm Insurance
Specialist (AFIS®) certification by attending an approved webinar,
conference, seminar, in-house training, or a combination of events that provide
at least 6 hours of credit.

The following seminars, conferences, and webinars have been approved for
AFIS reaccreditation.

Get AFIS Reaccreditation Credit!
If you recently attended a conference, seminar, or webinar that pertains to
agribusiness insurance or risk management, and you would like to obtain AFIS
credit for the event, follow the steps below.
One event for 6 hours of credit
If you attended one event to satisfy the 6-hour requirements, follow the
instructions below.

If you attended a pre-approved event and received a Certificate of
Completion with a voucher or promotion code, go to the AFIS Learning
Center and select the "Redeem Voucher" tab, enter the code on
your certificate, and follow the online instructions to report your
attendance and pay the reaccreditation fee.

If you attended an event that was not pre-approved, submit evidence of
completion certificate, along with a copy of the course agenda to [email protected]E.com.
- If the course is approved, you will receive an email with a link to
pay the renewal fee.
- If the course is not approved, you will receive a notification that
it was not approved.
Multiple events for 6 hours of credit
If you attended multiple events to satisfy the 6-hour requirement, after you
have completed the total of 6 hours, follow the instructions below for each
course that comprises the 6 hours.

If you attended a pre-approved event and received a Certificate of
Completion with a voucher or promotion code3, go to the AFIS Learning
Center and select the "Redeem Voucher" tab, enter the code on
your certificate, and follow the online instructions to report your
attendance and pay the reaccreditation fee.

if you attended events that were not pre-approved, submit evidence of

- If your courses are approved, an email will be sent providing
instructions on how to pay the renewal fee.
- If your courses are not approved, you will receive a notification
that the courses were not approved.
When asked to sign in to the AFIS Learning Center, it is important that you enter the same ID
and password used when taking the AFIS certification courses. If you do not
remember your login information, you may contact WebCE at (877) 488–9313 during
normal business hours.
Get Your Event Approved!
If your organization offers webinars, seminars, conferences, or other
educational programs that focus on agribusiness and farm risk management and
insurance topics, consider having them pre-approved for AFIS reaccreditation.
They must meet the following criteria to qualify.
- The duration of instruction must be at least 1 hour.
- The program content must provide a level of instruction that will advance
the knowledge and competence of someone who has completed the AFIS core
curriculum.
- You must have a satisfactory method of monitoring attendance or
completion of the course.
- You must agree to certain administration, notification, and
record-keeping requirements.
Obtaining AFIS reaccreditation approval will make your seminar or conference
more attractive to those potential participants who have obtained the AFIS
certification.If your course is available to people outside your organization,
you may submit a link to your website that we will add to our Approved Events
list.
