Jul 9, 2020
Dallas, TX—International Risk Management Institute, Inc., has announced that
the final IRMI Emmett J
Vaughan Agribusiness Conference (AgriCon) of 2020 will now be a virtual
event presented online September 15–16.
Attendees will access a livestream of thought-provoking sessions focused on
agribusiness risk management and insurance. Topics covered include crop
insurance, livestock coverage issues, agritainment exposures, and climate
change.
“While we will miss seeing our colleagues face to face, this was the right
decision,” said IRMI President and CEO Jack P. Gibson. “The health and safety
of attendees is our top priority, and pivoting to an online event this year
will allow more insurance and risk management professionals to attend without
having to contend with COVID-19 restrictions and concerns.”
The online event will offer attendees the value-added benefit of on-demand
access to session recordings for 6 months following the Conference. In
addition, professionals who hold the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist
(AFIS®) certification can fulfill their continuing education requirement by
attending AgriCon Virtual.
