damage to premises rented to you

The "damage to premises rented to you" is one of the limits of liability prescribed by the standard commercial general liability (CGL) sublimit covering the insured's legal liability for property damage to premises they rent for 7 or more consecutive days (fire damage only); or premises they occupy for 7 days or less (any covered cause of loss). Coverage applies only to the specific premises occupied and does not extend to replacing or repairing property beyond that space. This coverage is subject to a separate sublimit that is lower than the policy's general liability limit.
