With over 35 years' experience, Mr. Miletsky specializes in construction
law, government contracts, and insurance, including prosecuting and defending
construction claims and construction insurance issues and drafting, reviewing,
and analyzing contracts. He has substantial and extensive experience in all
phases of litigation, arbitration, mediation, and alternate dispute
resolution.
He is the founder and principal of the Law Office of Robert J Miletsky
(established in 1991) with offices in the New York City metropolitan area
(White Plains and Merrick, Long Island). He previously practiced construction
law and government contracts with Thelen Marrin Johnson & Bridges, a large
(400-plus attorneys) national law firm, and Max E. Greenberg Cantor and Reiss,
a leading construction law firm in New York City.
Mr. Miletsky has taught courses on construction law for over 30 years at the
Pratt Institute (New York) and has been an instructor for courses that provide
continuing education credit for architects and attorneys. He has lectured at
George Washington University and conducted construction law seminars as well as
giving numerous in-house seminars for governmental agencies and private
corporations.
Mr. Miletsky is a noted author on all aspects of construction law and served
as editor and contributing legal editor to Contractor’s Business Management
Report. He is a member of the New York State Bar, the US Claims Court, and
numerous other federal courts.
Mr. Miletsky received his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Baruch
College and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
