IRMI Responds To NCCI Classification Code Changes With New Edition of Classification Cross-Reference
Dallas, TX, October 4, 2002—International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI), has released the eleventh edition of its Classification Cross-Reference book. The new edition responds to recent significant workers compensation classification code changes, as well as substantial revisions in the la (2002) North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). The Classification Cross-Reference (11th Ed.), provides a compilation and mapping of 11 different databases that allows the user to start with one known piece of classification information—alphabetical or numerical—from any one of the databases represented in the tables and immediately find corresponding information from all the other databases, all in one location.
"With recent workers compensation classification code changes, coupled with the recent substantial revisions in the North American Industry Classification System, we felt a new edition of the IRMI Classification Cross-Reference was warranted to help the industry avoid serious classification errors. It also presents the perfect opportunity for IRMI to refine the classification mapping to enhance the publication’s usefulness," explained the author and senior IRMI research analyst, Maureen C. McLendon, CPCU, ARM.
