Vice President, HSE and Risk Management

During the 1990s, Mr. Williams worked with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in developing customized political risk insurance coverage for Nabors's growing operations in Yemen and served on OPIC's Advisory Council. In 2013, he was promoted to vice president, Health, Safety and environment, and risk management, and is responsible for Nabors's quality, health, safety, and environment in addition to his risk management responsibilities. He currently manages two captive insurance companies wholly owned by Nabors and reports regularly to Nabors's Board of Directors' Audit and Technology and Safety Committees. He also serves on Enterprise Risk Management and its Disclosures, Controls, and Procedures Committees.

Mr. Williams joined Geosource in 1980, where he was responsible for managing its international risk management program in South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Prior to Geosource, he worked for Kendavis Holding Company in Fort Worth, Texas, as risk manager. Kendavis’s drilling company was acquired by Nabors Industries Inc., and, shortly after the acquisition, Mr. Williams joined Nabors as risk manager. Mr. Williams completed his bachelor of business administration degree at Texas Tech University and began his career in risk management with Corporate Systems, where he designed, implemented, and provided day-to-day service with risk management information systems.
