Background

Mr. Lamden joined the CGL Reporter as an executive editor in 2016. He is also a frequent author and speaker on insurance coverage and risk management issues.

As a partner in the Insurance Policyholder Practice Group of the Chicago law firm of Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP, he has concentrated his practice on insurance law and coverage litigation since 2001. He has represented policyholders from a broad array of industries in disputed coverage matters arising out of a wide variety of claims and losses, including professional liability claims, consumer class actions, environmental claims, major course-of-construction and post-completion "construction defect" claims, asbestos and benzene exposure claims, product liability claims, directors and officers liability claims, property damage, and business interruption losses. Mr. Lamden was profiled as one of "40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch" by Law Bulletin Publishing in 2013, maintains an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Illinois Super Lawyers, and the Leading Lawyers Network.

Mr. Lamden is an active member of TIPS, including serving as vice chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee and chair of the Self-Insurers and Risk Managers Committee. He also serves as chair of the Insurance Law Committee of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC) and is a member of the IDC's Board of Directors.

Mr. Lamden received his bachelor of arts degree from Brandeis University and his juris doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the John Marshall Law School.
