Mr. Lamden joined CGL Reporter as an executive
editor in 2016 and currently serves on the Insurance Law Essentials Board. He
is a frequent author and speaker on insurance coverage and risk management
issues.
Mr. Lamden is a partner in the Insurance Recovery Practice Group of Blank
Rome LLP, resident in the firm's Chicago office. For more than 20 years,
he has focused his legal practice exclusively on helping policyholders
understand and enforce their rights to insurance coverage. Through litigation
and negotiation, Mr. Lamden has helped policyholders recover hundreds of
millions of dollars in insurance proceeds in connection with a broad array of
claims and losses, including consumer class actions, professional liability
claims, environmental claims, course-of-construction property damage and
delay claims, construction defect claims, toxic tort claims, product
liability claims, directors and officers liability claims, employment
practices claims, Employee Retirement Income Security Act fiduciary liability
claims, property damage, cyber claims, and business interruption losses. Mr.
Lamden is widely recognized for his insurance recovery practice and is listed
in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Illinois Super Lawyers, and the
Leading Lawyers Network. He also maintains an AV rating from
Martindale-Hubbell and is a fellow of the American College of Coverage
Counsel.
Mr. Lamden is an active member of the American Bar Association's Tort,
Trial, and Insurance Practice Section, including serving as the 2021–2022
chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee and the 2018–2018 chair
of the Self-Insurers and Risk Managers Committee.
