Ms. Hoyle is a construction risk engineer for XL Catlin’s construction specialty product, Subcontractor Default Insurance. She has more than 15 years of practical experience in engineering, construction, and risk management. Her work at XL Catlin supports the entire policy lifecycle, including risk identification and due diligence, customer feedback, project reviews, benchmarking, training, related customer meetings, active engagement of prospective clients, and claims management and resolution. Prior to XL Catlin, she worked for Turner Construction Co. where she gained extensive experience in all stages of construction project management from design to preconstruction, purchasing, operations, and close-out. Ms. Hoyle’s holistic understanding of construction projects developed an expertise in construction risk management, litigation management, and expert witnessing with consulting firm WCD Group.
 
Ms. Hoyle has a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Rutgers University and a master of science in civil engineering, focusing on construction engineering and management, from Stanford University. She is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina. She is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accredited professional and a graduate of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) Litigation Management Institute, earning her the Claims and Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) designation. She is also the codean and faculty member of the CLM Claims College, School of Construction, and holds the IRMI credential of Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS).
