After graduating from Pepperdine University School of Law, Mr. Andrea spent nearly 2 decades exclusively working for law firms in Los Angeles recognized for top-level representation of insurers in complex coverage disputes. There, he litigated coverage actions involving numerous types of underlying liabilities, including asbestos, environmental, repetitive stress injury class actions, cell phone exposure class actions, and others. In 2017, Mr. Andrea began working for the firm, assisting with the firm’s considerable construction defect coverage practice. In addition, he brings to the firm a broad depth of knowledge and experience on a wide range of insurance issues, including those arising under comprehensive general liability, directors and officer liability, employment practices liability, business owners, homeowners, and numerous others. He has authored over 1,000 coverage opinions advising clients of their rights and obligations on issues arising under such policies.

Beyond his practice, Mr. Andrea has been an active communicator and educator on insurance coverage issues including, in the past, teaching insurance law as a professor at the Glendale University College of Law and authoring numerous articles and blog posts on insurance law developments. He has spoken on insurance issues on many occasions. Mr. Andrea's presentation on California bad faith insurance law, “Breaking Bad Faith Down,” is often requested by organizations, such the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, seeking a better understanding of such issues.
