Ms. Foggan contributed to the CGL Reporter
Editorial Board in the area of environmental toxic torts in 2014–2015.
Ms. Foggan is a partner in Crowell & Moring's Washington, D.C.
office, where she is a member of the firm's LawDragon 500
Magazine as "one of the most successful advocates for the insurance
industry to ever practice" and has been named one of Law360's
"10 Most Admired Insurance Attorneys." Practicing for more than 25
years, Ms. Foggan has made significant contributions to the development of
key insurance law precedents across the country. She serves as lead counsel
in trial and appellate matters involving insurance for privacy and
technology, environmental and toxic tort, construction, personal and
advertising injury, employment, product liability, mass tort, and
pharmaceutical claims. She counsels insurers on emerging exposures, including
Section 111 Medicare secondary payer compliance, and has participated in more
than 200 insurance coverage appeals nationwide. A former cochair of the
Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association
Litigation Section, Ms. Foggan is included in the Best Lawyers in America
directory for insurance law and has been named one of Washington, DC's
"Top 100 Lawyers" and "Top 50 Women Lawyers," among many
other honors.
Ms. Foggan earned her J.D. with high honors from the George Washington
University Law School, where she was a member of the law review and elected
to the Order of the Coif. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from the
University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned an M.S. in education.
