Background
Ms. Goodman served on the CGL Reporter Editorial
Board 2006–2008. She provided summaries of cases on a variety of topics and
insurance coverage areas.
Ms. Goodman is Of Counsel to Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. She has been a
litigator for more than 30 years, and for the last 26 years has specialized in
insurance related litigation, with a focus on coverage issues. She has
litigated and written coverage opinions on a wide variety of insurance issues
including general liability, excess/umbrella, bad faith, professional
liability, and directors and officers liability.
Ms. Goodman has been in the leadership of the American Bar Association's
Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) since 1985, having held
numerous committee and editorial appointments. She is currently Chair of the
ABA/TIPS Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee. She is also an active member
of the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section of the New York State Bar
Association, for which she is a frequent lecturer. She also lectures for
ABA/TIPS. She is the author of numerous articles on insurance coverage and
coauthor of insurance-related chapters of treatises. She has been selected
annually as a "New York Super Lawyer" since 2006.
Ms. Goodman graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton,
with a bachelor of arts degree. She received her juris doctor from the New York
University School of Law and a master's degree from New York
University.
