Joe Galusha writes on workers compensation issues for IRMI.com.
He is currently the US leader of Aon's Global Risk Consulting
organization. Mr. Galusha's responsibilities include the privilege of
leading the more than 400 US-based Aon risk consultants who focus on the
development and delivery of pre- and post-loss risk mitigation strategies and
analytics, including property, casualty, and marine risk control and claims
management; actuarial and analytics services; enterprise risk management;
business continuity; and risk management outsourcing. Mr. Galusha also serves
on Aon's America's and Global Risk Consulting leadership teams.
In his more than 25 years of experience as a safety professional and risk
management consultant, Mr. Galusha has developed expertise in a number of risk
management disciplines. He began his career as a fire fighter and EMT while
completing his studies in occupational safety, health, and fire science. He
later became the corporate director of safety and health for Fruit of the Loom,
served as the corporate ergonomist for Mazda Corporation, and has been a
consultant in various areas of safety and risk management for numerous Fortune
100 clients in the areas of health care, pharmaceuticals, chemical, and auto
manufacturing over the past 15 years. He also has significant experience in
event risk management and security for numerous corporate events and the 2014
World Cup.
