Ms. Beatty joined the CGL Reporter Editorial
Board in 2016, where she contributes summaries in several areas, including
bad faith, environmental, excess, and umbrella liability.
Ms. Beatty is a shareholder in the Litigation Department of Karr Tuttle
Campbell where she also chairs the Insurance Practice and the Appellate
Practice Groups. She has almost 30 years' experience in complex coverage
and bad faith cases and is consistently included in "Washington's
Top 100 Super Lawyers" and "Top 50 Women Washington Super
Lawyers." Prior to Karr Tuttle Campbell, she served as clerk to the
Honorable James S. Holden, Federal District Court for the District of
Vermont, and in the University Division of the Attorney General's Office,
State of Washington.
Ms. Beatty received her juris doctor degree from the University of
Washington School of Law with multiple honors, and her bachelor of arts and
bachelor of science degrees from Brown University and Columbia University
School of Nursing, respectively.
