Mr. Moore joined the CGL Reporter Editorial
Board in 2013. He analyzes cases primarily in the construction, bad faith,
and products and professional liability areas.
He is a partner in Jones Walker LLP's Business & Commercial
Litigation Practice Group and practices from the firm's Birmingham,
Alabama, office. His practice focuses primarily on the areas of insurance
coverage, commercial litigation, and professional liability.
Mr. Moore regularly represents and advises insurers in high-risk
litigation matters involving complex and unresolved issues of insurance
coverage, particularly in the areas of construction defects and bad faith. He
also advises insurers regarding pre-litigation insurance coverage issues. He
is a member of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the American
Bar Association's Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.
In addition to his insurance practice, Mr. Moore has represented
individual and corporate defendants in various state and federal courts
throughout Mississippi and Alabama in other areas, including professional
liability, products liability, toxic tort, Medicare reimbursement, fraud, and
contract litigation. He has also handled appellate proceedings in the Supreme
Court of Alabama and Mississippi and the Fourth and Eleventh Circuit Courts
of Appeals.
Mr. Moore received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of
Virginia, with distinction, and his juris doctor degree from the University
of Virginia School of Law, where he also was on the Editorial Board and
Articles Review Board for the Virginia Law Review.
