Mr. Walton served on the CGL Reporter Editorial
Board from 2013 to 2018, where he added his environmental and toxic tort
expertise by summarizing related cases.
For over 20 years, he has represented and advised various insurance
companies throughout the United States in insurance coverage disputes
involving a wide range of complex matters arising under general liability,
pollution legal liability, professional liability, excess liability, and
umbrella liability policies. He has also provided strategic advice to clients
on insurance coverage matters to help them manage risk.
Mr. Walton frequently counsels and represents nationally known
manufacturers regarding a multitude of construction defect and toxic tort
claims in some of the toughest jurisdictions in the country. He has handled
numerous asbestos, benzene, diacetyl, mold, silica, and welding rod claims
from inception through resolution, by litigation, settlement, mediation, or
arbitration.
Mr. Walton has earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of
Chicago and a juris doctor degree from the John Marshall Law School. He is
admitted to the Bar of Illinois and the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court.
