Dan Centner

Counsel

Mr. Centner was born in New York and raised in Colorado but has adopted Louisiana as his home. He is based in the New Orleans office of Peiffer, Wolf, Carr, Kane & Conway, where he maintains a diverse practice spanning a wide array of complex civil litigation matters, ranging from nursing home abuse to investor- and securities-related disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Centner spent more than a decade representing funds, brokers, insurers, and other large corporations across a broad spectrum of matters. He is proud to now put his talents to work helping individuals, not institutions.

Prior to joining Peiffer, Wolf, Carr, Kane & Conway, Mr. Centner was a shareholder at Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, et al., in New Orleans, where he represented individuals and entities in a wide variety of insurance-related disputes. His particular areas of emphasis included directors and officers litigation (where he has experience on the plaintiff, policyholder, and insurer sides), oil-and-gas-related losses, and coverage issues involving "personal and advertising injury" coverage under CGL policies. He has been named to Super Lawyers "Rising Stars" list. He is also a member of the American Bar Association's Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. Prior to joining Lugenbuhl, Mr. Centner worked in the New York office of an international law firm, focusing on commercial and securities litigation.

Mr. Centner completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado, graduating with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics after being named to the dean's list five times. He is also a summa cum laude graduate of Tulane University Law School. During law school, he served as the senior associate editor of the Tulane Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. After graduation, he began his career at an international law firm in Manhattan before returning to New Orleans and eventually becoming a shareholder at one of the city's premier defense firms.

Mr. Centner sits on the Tulane Law Review Board of Advisory Editors and is a member of the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association's Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.

In his free time, Mr. Centner enjoys lifting weights and spending time with his wife and three boys. He is an active parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Old Metairie, Louisiana.
