Carla O'Sullivan

Ms. O'Sullivan contributes articles on workers compensation disability and disability insurance for IRMI.com.

Ms. O'Sullivan joined the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) in 2015, where she serves as the education programs manager, overseeing a variety of education programs. The DMEC is a San Diego-based nonprofit trade association that provides educational resources to employers in the areas of disability, absence, health, and productivity.

Ms. O'Sullivan has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing for 16 years in absence management. Her breadth of knowledge has been developed through a wide variety of experiences. She has worked with large employers from across the country on their complex absence programs, headed up Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and absence operations by providing expertise in absence program development and integration, and worked as an independent consultant and FMLA blogger.
