Ms. Yoffie joined the CGL Reporter Editorial
Board in 2016 and focuses on cases involving fidelity and surety, directors
and officers liability, bad faith, and first-party property.
Ms. Yoffie was previously special counsel at the Los Angeles office of
Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP. Prior to that, she was counsel at
the Los Angeles office of Sedgwick LLP. Over the past 30 years, she has
authored more than a thousand coverage opinions analyzing a huge variety of
issues presented under directors and officers, errors and omissions,
fidelity, general liability, homeowners, jewelers block, auto liability, and
property and casualty policies, including claims arising from Ponzi schemes,
employment liability, personal and advertising injury liability, professional
negligence, environmental contamination, soils subsidence, earthquake, fire,
mold, construction defect, intellectual property, and securities and
antitrust litigation. Her experience also includes providing advice
concerning and litigation of matters involving life, health, disability and
the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, healthcare service plans,
preferred provider organizations, and life insurance disputes. Ms. Yoffie has
drafted insurance policy language and insurer policies and procedures.
Ms. Yoffie received her bachelor of arts degree from University of
California, Berkeley, and earned her juris doctor degree from University of
California, Hastings College of the Law.
