Anthony Balice

Mr. Balice is an attorney at Emerson & Elder, P.C., in the Chicago area. He contributed cases to IRMI's Insurance Case Finder in 2014.

Mr. Balice concentrates his practice in the area of insurance coverage and commercial litigation. He regularly represents insurance companies in insurance disputes involving the availability of insurance coverage under professional liability policies, commercial general liability policies, employers' liability policies, and healthcare professional liability policies. He has defended insurance companies in state and federal courts in Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, New York, Georgia, Hawaii, and Idaho. He also has experience in commercial litigation, class-action litigation, and contract disputes. Additionally, he has participated in complex multiparty mediations involving the availability of employers' liability coverage for damages in qui tam lawsuits and the availability of insurance coverage for latent defects in the construction of building projects. In addition to his practice, he is fluent in Italian and has represented Italian companies in trademark and commercial disputes.

While in law school, Mr. Balice clerked for the US Attorney's Office, Northern District of Illinois, and the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, Complex Litigation Division.
