Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI®), will host the inaugural
IRMI Energy Risk and Insurance
Conference on March 4–6, 2013, in Houston, Texas.
The conference is designed for insurance buyers, risk managers, agents, brokers,
underwriters, adjusters, attorneys, and others who must understand, mitigate, or insure the
complex exposures of oil and gas exploration, production, and servicing.
An optional, half-day pre-conference workshop, "Understanding the Oil & Gas Industry
and Its Risks" will take place on Monday, March 4, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This program
will be a primer for insurance professionals who would like a better understanding of oil and
gas industry operations and the risks they present. The Conference agenda will cover the

will focus on giving you practical strategies and tactics you can use to make certain your
organization or your clients have implemented best practice risk management tactics for and
are properly insured against related upstream oil and gas industry risks.
