Press Release

The 41st IRMI Construction Risk Conference (CRC) Will Offer In-Person and Virtual Options

July 14, 2021—Dallas, TX—Registration is now open for the 41st IRMI Construction Risk Conference (CRC). After more than a full year of virtual-only events, this fall’s conference will offer attendees a choice between live and online experiences. The live portion of IRMI CRC will be held November 7–10, 2021, in San Diego. The virtual conference will offer a condensed agenda with sessions streaming November 8–9.

“It feels like the best of both worlds being able to return to live events and keep the online option available,” said Jack Gibson, IRMI president and CEO. “We can’t wait to see our colleagues face-to-face and celebrate our return to in-person learning and networking.”

Both options will give attendees access to top-tier speakers, focused construction risk and insurance content, and innovative ideas for contractor insurance programs. The live event will feature exclusive sessions, short-form Snap Talks, a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS®) course, and the popular IRMI Boot Camp, a 3-day program for risk and insurance professionals new to the construction industry.

“We have invited more than 50 construction risk management and insurance experts to share practical tactics for negotiating the difficult insurance market and managing risks associate with construction projects,” shared Ann Hickman, IRMI assistant vice president and director of the conference curriculum. “Sessions will hit on hot topics such as cyber risk, climate change challenges, and group captives. Of course, we’ve also planned sessions covering perennially relevant subjects including wrap-ups, contractual risk transfer, and safety programs.“
