Product Update

"Finding Coverage as an Additional Insured" Added to Practical Risk Management

This Practical Risk Management release updates two topics and adds one new one. Topic D-23, "Claim Audits," discusses how audits fit into the overall claim management process and provides ideas on how to structure, schedule, and perform audits. It also provides a sample workers compensation audit. Topic E-9, "Acting as a Witness in Legal Proceedings," describes the circumstances under which a risk manager might be called to testify and provides guidance to help the risk manager prepare and provide the most beneficial testimony. Topic G-40, "Finding Coverage as an Additional Insured," covers all aspects of obtaining coverage as an additional insured, including fundamentals of additional insured status, the difference between an indemnity and additional insured status, the process of negotiating additional insured status in a contract, and negotiating coverage once a covered claim occurs. See Risk Management Notes for additional items of interest.
