The Management Liability Insurance Specialist
(MLIS®) continuing education (CE) program is a convenient way to
obtain state insurance CE credit while gaining meaningful knowledge that will
help you sell, service, or buy professional, D&O, E&O, EPL, or
fiduciary liability insurance.
Insurance CE Credit in All 50 States!
The MLIS program gives insurance agents and brokers a unique opportunity to
simultaneously obtain both mandatory state insurance continuing education (CE)
credit and a certification attesting to their knowledge of management liability
insurance. And the cost for all seven courses is less than the admission fee to
many continuing education seminars covering this topic! All seven MLIS courses
have been approved for CE credit in all 50 states. To learn how much credit is
available in your state, simply go to the Course Catalog in the MLIS Learning
Center, choose the course(s) you are interested in taking, and select the
state for which you want insurance CE credit. The available credit hours for
that state will be displayed on your screen. The amount of insurance CE credit
provided ranges between 4 and 12 hours, depending on the course and state.
CPE Credit Now Available
WebCE, Inc., is
registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA)
as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of
CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the
acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding
registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE
Sponsors.
Other Insurance Industry Programs
Completing MLIS courses (or the entire certification) qualifies for credit
under two other programs at this time, and we are working toward having MLIS
recognized by some others. Completing an MLIS course counts toward the CPCU
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program, which allows the same number
of points for CPD that have been awarded for CE credits in your state. Simply
record the completed MLIS courses on the CPD qualifier application to receive
credit in that program. Completing the MLIS Certification also counts as 2 days
of RIMS Fellow (RF) workshop credits toward the RF designation.
Getting Started
It is easy to enroll in the MLIS program. Just go to the MLIS Learning
Center, go to the Course Catalog, select the course(s) you wish to take,
and proceed to checkout. At checkout, you'll be asked to provide basic
contact information about yourself, register your credit card for payment of
the course fees, and agree to receive communications about the program and your
certification from us via email. After only 10 minutes, you are on your way to
the CE credit you need!
