Tricia Kagerer of Jordan Foster Construction Honored with Bill McIntyre Leadership Award

Dallas, TX—Tricia Kagerer, executive vice president of Jordan Foster Construction, was honored today as the recipient of the 2020 Bill McIntyre Leadership Award, which recognizes visionary leaders who demonstrate commitment to construction risk management through creativity, service, mentoring, and education.

Sponsored by Travelers, the award is presented annually by International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI), at the IRMI Construction Risk Conference and is named for IRMI Executive Chairman Bill McIntyre, who has inspired, trained, and educated thousands of risk professionals and is a passionate advocate of construction risk management and safety.

Ms. Kagerer has been involved in construction risk management for more than 25 years and currently serves as an executive vice president of risk management for Jordan Foster Construction, performing civil, general contracting, and multifamily projects. She is an author and a speaker on various leadership, risk management, and safety topics, including crisis management, emergency response best practices, education across cultures, servant leadership, and diversity.

Ms. Kagerer’s work has been recognized and received numerous awards, including National Safety Council Safety Place to Work, American Society of Safety Professionals Regional Safety Professional of the Year Award, Construction Safety Excellence Award, Associated Builders and Contractors STARR Awards, Local Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Safety Professional of the Year Award, Business Insurance Women to Watch Award, AGC Construction Safety Excellence Award, and the IRMI Gary E. Bird Horizon Award.

Her professional credentials include Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS®), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Claims (AIC), and licensed Texas claims representative and commercial agent, and she has served as a construction panel arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.

Nominations for the next Bill McIntyre Leadership Award will be due in August 2021. The award is open to professionals charged with managing construction risks for their employers with at least 10 years of experience in construction risk management at the time of application. Candidates should demonstrate passion, integrity, vision, and creativity in furthering construction risk management and have a heart for giving back to the industry by mentoring, encouraging, or teaching others.
