Registration Now Open for the 2022 IRMI Energy Risk & Insurance Conference (ERIC)

Release Date: Jun 22, 2022

Dallas, TX—Registration is now open for the 2022 IRMI Energy Risk & Insurance Conference (ERIC), which will be presented as a virtual event. Attendees will have access to 2 days of livestreamed sessions and a half-day post-Conference course focused exclusively on the unique risk management challenges faced by energy companies and the nuances of properly insuring those exposures.

This year’s Conference features an expanded agenda. Along with topics that apply to all segments of the industry, the session lineup also features tracks focused on specific challenges faced by traditional oil and gas companies and those impacting renewable energy providers. Topics include pollution liability, political risk management, emerging risks in renewable energy, and risk financing and captive strategies.

“The energy risk management landscape is changing rapidly, and IRMI ERIC is keeping pace so our attendees can stay up to date,” said IRMI President and CEO Jack P. Gibson. “Our goal is to provide proven strategies for building effective insurance programs and practical tactics for fine-tuning risk management programs to control costs.”

Attendees can also attend the post-Conference course, Contractual Risk Transfer in Energy, which is included at no additional cost with the registration fee. The course provides a deep dive into the structure of contracting relationships in the energy industry, the key provisions in which responsibilities and liabilities are allocated, and methods to equitably allocate these liabilities. It is also 1 of 5 courses required to earn the prestigious Energy Risk and Insurance Specialist (ERIS®) certification.
