Webinar-At-A-Glance

Requirements for additional insured status by owners and general contractors on the policies of the contractors in the tiers below them has become common place as a way to help offset some of the problems associated with complete reliance on indemnity provisions and contractual liability insurance discussed in the Indemnity webinar and in the Contractual Liability Coverage webinar. Unfortunately, additional insured coverage has come with its own set of problems which has caused insurers to constantly tinker with the endorsement wording in an effort to better define what coverage an additional insured does and does not receive under the endorsement.

This webinar will discuss the standard ISO construction additional insured endorsements, the problems associated with them, some of the nonstandard variations along with their implications, and the possibility of using an owners and contractors protective (OCP) policy in lieu of or in addition to additional insured status. This webinar will explore the following:

  • The scope of coverage under the ISO endorsements
  • Policy and endorsement language variations
  • The use of an OCP versus additional insured
