Newsletters & Journals
Previously, to cover general liability agriculture exposures, the CGL policy
needed to be tailored with a number of endorsements. The May issue of
The Risk Report,
discusses American Association of Insurance Services introduction of the
AAIS Agricultural General Liability
Program (AgGL), the first standardized general liability program specifically
designed for farms and agribusinesses.
The May issue of
Captive Insurance Company Reports (CICR) begins with our
annual captive count,
presenting both the captive count by domicile and the 10 largest captive managers,
as initially compiled by Business Insurance.
Hugh Rosenbaum then presents an overview of the recent
CICA conference.
The spring issue of
Employment Practices Liability Consultant (EPLiC)
includes the following articles.
Reference Manuals
Commercial Liability
Insurance revises and expands various topics included in the
CGL Additional Insured section. Significant legal decisions bearing on the
coverage available to design professionals as insureds under a contractor’s
CGL policy are discussed, as well as the applicability of automatic additional
insured endorsements to multi-tier insurance requirements in construction projects.
The supplement also provides two revised discussions of commercial umbrella
topics. Section XI.J has been revised to explain the effect of different kinds
of
drop down provisions on coverage for a sequence of claims including long-tail
losses. Section XII.C has been revised to explain that the interpretation of
follow form
provisions is governed by a contract law doctrine called "incorporation
by reference." In addition, several new issues with follow form coverage, such
as follow form language that is too specific, are now discussed.
D&O MAPS
has been expanded to include the following policies and analyses.
Personal Risk Management
and Insurance (PRMI) updates and expands the
residential loss exposure discussion, which analyzes property perils and
examines liability loss exposures. Key U.S. statistics, hazards, and loss control
techniques associated with the perils are also addressed. In addition, the supplement
updates the
state-by-state analysis of state workers compensation laws as they relate
to domestic workers, the
homeowners and
PAP cancellation requirements, the listing of
countrywide and
state-specific endorsements in the ISO homeowners program, and several states'
UM pages (DC,
HI,
ME,
MD,
NH,
ND,
VT,
WY).
Forms
The ACORD Forms
manual has been updated
(thru April 2009)
