looks at environmental risks,

products, and common coverage pitfalls.
The December issue of
Captive Insurance Company Reports (CICR)
begins with an article addressing the
current financial crisis
and a possible impact on captives. The second article comments on the recent
IAIS guidance paper.
The last article summarizes a presentation made by Catlin Insurance on
how and what reinsurers
do to determine excess reinsurance prices. It concludes with what captive
practitioners can do to manage their reinsurance costs.
Reference Manuals
Commercial Auto Insurance
continues the review and updating of state motor vehicle statutes, with particular
emphasis on changes that have occurred with respect to uninsured and underinsured
motorists provisions. The supplement includes updated
UM/UIM
pages for 25 states. It also includes updated no-fault pages for
Pennsylvania and
Texas, updated
cancellation provisions, and an updated and enhanced list of
state-specific endorsements.
Construction Risk
Management adds a new discussion of
sue and labor
provisions in builders risk insurance. The supplement also provides updates
of the state
construction anti-indemnity chart, the chart showing
states' positions on coverage for construction defects in the CGL policy,
and data relevant to risk financing (including
alternative market information,
state small
deductible plans for workers compensation,
payout profiles,
self-insurance requirements,
AGC group self-insurance plans for workers compensation, and a variety of
other information). The results of the 2008 Construction Risk and Insurance
Survey are included as well. The Construction Risk
Management Newsletter provides updates on
construction and insurance industry developments.
D&O MAPS
has been expanded to include the following policies and analyses.

IRMI Insurance Checklists
2009 provides 58 checklists for reviewing the coverage provisions of personal
and commercial lines insurance policies. All the checklists have been updated
to consider forms changes implemented since last year. The checklists
are presented in Word documents which you can download, save, fill out, and
customize. If you subscribe to this publication on IRMI Online, you now have
access to the new edition.
