homeowners modified form 8 (HO 8)
Part of the Insurance Services Office, Inc. (ISO), homeowners portfolio,
provides basic named perils coverage for direct damage to property, personal
liability coverage, and medical payments to others as respects owner-occupied
dwellings. This form is quite similar to form HO 1 except it allows the replacement
cost (RC) provision to be changed to repair cost and in some instances, actual cash
value (ACV). This policy is often utilized on older homes and those that would not
be replaced if destroyed.
