As president and chief executive officer of Business Valuation Advisors LLC (BVA), Mr. Balcombe is an expert in the valuation of businesses and intangible assets, as well as in the analysis required in commercial litigation matters, such as economic damages, lost profits, business valuation, and intellectual property infringement.

BVA is one of the largest business valuation and litigation consulting firms in the Southwest, serving public and private clients nationwide. BVA was initially formed in 1974 as a specialty boutique, and continues to maintain its focus in two service areas: Valuation and Litigation Consulting, serving clients in a wide variety of industries, including the insurance industry. BVA has consulted on numerous insurance-related valuation projects including acquisitions, sales, and valuation of businesses for purposes including M&A, tax planning, and estate and gift tax. BVA's insurance practice is diverse and includes agencies, brokers, and financial institutions, with personal lines and excess and surplus lines and other specialty market providers including nonstandard auto, health care, and administrators.

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant with the Accredited in Business Valuation designation, Mr. Balcombe holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is also an Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation through the American Society of Appraisers. He maintains professional memberships in American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of CPAs, CFA Institute, and American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Balcombe received a Master in Professional Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with honors.
