As a partner in the law firm of O'Hagan, Smith & Amundsen in Chicago, Mr.
Valentino concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance coverage and liability
defense litigation. He has represented primary and excess insurers in a broad
spectrum of coverage matters involving auto, environmental, general liability,
health, homeowners, professional liability, property and workers’ compensation/employers’
liability insurance. His work includes the preparation of coverage opinions
and handling of all phases of litigation of coverage suits in state and federal
courts.
Mr. Valentino is a frequent author and speaker on litigation topics. He is
also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Illinois Association
of Defense Trial Counsel, and is a former member of the ISBA Insurance Law Section
Council; Chair, Subcommittee on Legislation (1997-2000). Mr. Valentino graduated
from DePaul University in 1981. He received his juris doctor degree from The
John Marshall Law School in 1984.
