Sheila Mulrennan

Ms. Mulrennan is the founder and president of the Insurance Archaeology Group
(IAG), a New York-based consulting firm dedicated to historic insurance reconstruction
and coverage analysis. With more than 20 years of insurance analysis and advisory
experience, Ms. Mulrennan is one of the nation's foremost specialists in historic
insurance reconstruction for environmental, product liability and occupational
health litigation.
Ms. Mulrennan and her professional staff at IAG have pioneered many of the
research and investigative techniques used in locating evidence of missing or
destroyed insurance policies. Under her direction, IAG has recovered over $50
billion in previously unknown, prepaid insurance assets for its clients, which
include Fortune 500 companies, nationally recognized law firms, small to mid-sized
corporations, municipalities and utilities.
Prior to founding IAG in 1985, Ms. Mulrennan worked in both the U.S. and
London, first as a claims analyst and later as a specialist in insurance archaeology.
Ms. Mulrennan holds an MA degree in history and a BA in psychology from the
University of Memphis. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association
for Professional Insurance Women, and she is a frequent speaker to insurance,
legal and corporate audiences regarding historic insurance archaeology.
