He is an IT security professional with many years of experience in the IT
industry. Employed by Total Risk Management, a subsidiary of Clarkson Construction,
Total Risk handles the IT security and communications needs of Clarkson Construction
and its subsidiaries, including Total Risk Management, Superior-Bowen Asphalt
LLC, Everett Quarries, Long Shoal Marina, and Micro-Lite LLC. Total Risk also
handles all of the safety, EEO, insurance, communications, and risk management
needs of Clarkson Construction and its subsidiaries. Mr. Cowger maintains the
Wide Area Network that connects Clarkson to its subsidiaries as well as the
supporting servers that the subsidiaries access. He also handles the security
concerns of the networks and the planned wireless segment of their network.
Previously, Mr. Cowger worked with ITI as a network engineer and with many
local and state law enforcement agency's records management systems, jail administration,
and computer-aided dispatch systems. Along with the software end, he also implemented
and supported mobile solutions in this market. Vehicle location through GPS,
mobile data, wireless alarm systems, and other mobile solutions.
Mr. Cowger has always worked in the IT industry and covered many different
aspects of this field. WAN (wide area network), LAN (local area network), SAN
(storage area network), wireless solutions, Cisco IP/IPX routing, VLAN (virtual
local area network), Windows NT/2000/9X/ME, Novell Netware & Zenworks, Cisco
PIX firewalls, SNA services, and Linux/Unix/Free BSD are just a few of the systems
and mediums he has implemented and supported. On top of that he enjoys writing
customized software for his clients with C++ and/or Visual Basic.
