Mr. Tutera is one of the presenters for Workshop M3, “Building a Better Builders Risk Program,” on Monday. He is senior vice president at Hiscox Specialty in New York City. Prior to joining Hiscox Specialty, Mr. Tutera was with Lexington Insurance Company. Previously, he was chief property underwriting officer of Zurich North America Construction Business Unit, responsible for North America and London, as well as an affiliated role for construction operations in Canada and Latin America.

He has also served as vice president and as product line officer for construction and technical engineering lines for U.S. operations for Reliance National Risk Specialists; deputy product line officer and northeast regional manager for CIGNA special risk facilities for engineered and technical lines business, including construction, civil works, power generation, and petrochemicals; and assistant project manager of Graphic Construction Corporation, a subsidiary of Starrett Housing Corporation, which provides construction management of low-income housing, particularly rehabilitation projects.

He holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from New York University and a bachelor of science in engineering science from Hofstra University.
