William Sullivan

Mr. Sullivan is one of the panelists for Workshop M1, "Insurance Underwriter Perspectives and Prognostications," on Monday. He is vice president and head of The Hartford Construction Group. He oversees The Hartford’s team of construction specialists in underwriting and loss control in designing tailored insurance and risk management programs to meet the complex needs of midsize to large special trade, heavy trade, general contractors, and CCIP/OCIP wrap-ups.

Mr. Sullivan is a 30-year insurance industry veteran with 25 years of construction underwriting experience with The Hartford. He joined The Hartford in 1986 as a director in the Risk Management Division. He then served as a field manager for the East Coast territories for several years before returning to The Hartford’s Home Office. In 1993 Mr. Sullivan established the company’s Specialty Construction unit, which became The Hartford Construction Group in 2008.

Mr. Sullivan is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). He is a graduate of Northeastern University with a B.S. in Marketing.
