Anthony Rastall

Mr. Rastall is one of the presenters of Workshop M3, “Building a Better Builders Risk Program,” on Monday. Mr. Rastall has more than 30 years’ insurance broking experience specializing in onshore construction and engineering projects.

Mr. Rastall has lectured on international insurance and related matters and has been invited to address the World Bank in Washington, D.C., on major onshore project risk issues. Mr. Rastall speaks at numerous international conferences globally.

He sat on the London Market Engineering Insurance Group (LEG) Non-Vitiation Committee, which created the current LEG non-vitiation language still widely used around the world, and has numerous contractors and developers/owners as clients.

His expertise comes from a large number of onshore projects, mainly in the United States and Middle East. Projects Mr. Rastall has handled include power stations, LNG terminals (both liquefaction and re-gas), refineries, metro tunnels, sports stadiums, and airports. Mr. Rastall’s experience includes a secondment to Dubai in 1979–1980. Mr. Rastall is also up-to-date with the active insurance markets and hubs around the world and how these can be best used, always bearing in mind security rating issues and their willingness to pay claims.

Mr. Rastall also acts as client relationship manager on many projects and is currently working on projects up to $15 billion in value.
