Scott Rasor

Mr. Rasor is one of the panelists for Workshop M1, "Insurance Underwriter Perspectives and Prognostications," on Monday. He is President of Zurich's Construction industry segment, the largest commercial insurer of construction professionals and contractors in North America.

Responsible for driving profitable growth and the development of customer centered value propositions, Mr. Rasor leads an unmatched team that draws on Zurich's unique construction industry insight and superior service capabilities to deliver innovative solutions that create sustainable competitive advantages in the marketplace for his customers.

Prior to leading the construction business, Mr. Rasor was head of market for Architects and Engineers with additional responsibility for residential products and the underwriting and technical quality of the Subguard™, Construction Professional Liability, Property & Builders Risk and Project Risk portfolios serving the Large and Middle Market segments.

Mr. Rasor is a 25-year insurance professional. A claims specialist for 16 years, he held positions of increasing responsibility including Zurich Construction's Vice President of Claims where he developed dedicated claim teams and protocols for the Specialty and Controlled Insurance products. Since moving into underwriting, Mr. Rasor has personally underwritten all products that Zurich Construction offers and has held a number of senior positions including Regional Vice President, North Central—Zurich's largest construction region by premium.

Mr. Rasor holds an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Safety, and an MBA. He is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and holds a number of Claims professional designations. Mr. Rasor is an active member of the AGC and CFMA.
