Charles C. Moore

Mr. Moore is one of the presenters for Workshop M3, “Building a Better Builders Risk Program,” on Monday. He served in an underwriting and marketing capacity with three major insurance carriers prior to moving to the brokerage side in 1986. Following 9 years as a broker and consultant with a prominent Nashville insurance firm, he joined Sedgwick in January 1995 and focused primarily on the independent power sector and construction/infrastructure industry groups. Marsh, Inc. (“Marsh”) acquired Sedgwick in 1998, and Mr. Moore continued with Marsh as senior vice president. At Marsh, he performed broking and consulting duties in a regional and international capacity, including managing the worldwide construction program for a major OEM in the power sector.

In December 2004, Mr. Moore, along with his business partner, Mandy Woods-McNeil, formed Moore-McNeil, LLC (“Moore-McNeil”). Moore-McNeil provides independent insurance due diligence and outsourced risk management services for lenders, sponsors, and private equity companies around the world and is the leading project finance due diligence provider in the United States, working on more than 800 transactions since its inception in 2004.

Mr. Moore has worked with lenders and equity in the financing of major power projects worldwide that involve multiple technologies, from gas-fired turbine generators, coal-fired facilities, hydroelectric plants, wind parks, and solar farms to geothermal operations. Mr. Moore is recognized as one of the leading experts in infrastructure risk management and insurance by the project finance industry in the United States.

Mr. Moore holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Lipscomb University in Nashville.
