Mark Layman

Mr. Layman is one of the presenters for Workshop W10, “Managing Merger and Acquisition Risks,” on Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Layman serves as chief financial officer for Balfour Beatty Construction in the United States, a $3 billion per year commercial construction services firm. His responsibilities include oversight of all financial services and related policies, risk evaluation and management, and information technology. In addition, he serves as a member of the company’s executive leadership team, which serves to direct and guide the strategies, future growth, and direction for the entire business.

Mr. Layman started his career with the company as a controller. Through his 20 years with the company, he has held positions of increasing levels of responsibility including vice president of finance, division executive vice president, division chief financial officer, and treasurer.

Mr. Layman graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of business administration degree in finance.
