James E. Conroy

Mr. Conroy is one of the panelists for Workshop M1, “Insurance Underwriter Perspectives and Prognostications,” on Monday. He leads Liberty Mutual’s National Market Construction group, based in Boston, MA. Mr. Conroy has strategic, production, and profit responsibility for all national account sized construction contractors and OCIP/CCIP insurance programs underwritten by Liberty. Mr. Conroy joined Liberty in 2003. He has 30 years of industry experience, the bulk of which has been in casualty underwriting. He has held a variety of line and staff management positions in Loss Prevention, Surety, Specialty Casualty, and Umbrella Excess businesses. Mr. Conroy is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association and has served as an at-large director of the national organization. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and has earned both the CPCU and ARM designations.
